Brief:

Every bus driver is responsible for the safety of his or her vehicle, so before a driver can operate a bus there is a set check procedure to be followed. We were asked to create a simple booklet using photographs and written instruction that each driver can carry at all times as a constant guide to the check procedure.

Solution:

We spent a full day with a driver going through and photographing the entire procedure. These images were then laid out in "comic strip" style, with captions added and each step numbered to match with a map at the beginning of the booklet. The final size (just smaller than a DL envelope) allowed the booklet to fit in a back pocket for ease of use when making the checks.
