Brief:

As one of the UK’s (and Europe’s) premier suppliers of furniture to the hospitality trade, Satelliet-Browns have some of the most exciting and cutting edge products currently available on the market.

Each year sees the launch of their new UK collection to showcase new products and highlight the cream of their product lines. This year’s Collection departed from the design of previous years in that we viewed it not as a catalogue, but as a brochure and resource for interior designers, specifiers and architects: working with Satelliet-Browns becomes an integral part of their customers’ design process, and the new brochure encapsulates that.

Solution:

The clean structured layout allows the products space to breathe and show their own design worth. But as well as required detailed product shots, each spread is embellished with actual interior and studio set up shots act as a stimulus and allow the reader to open their imagination and see the products in a different light. Where appropriate, images are supported by short pieces of copy, again designed to make the reader think about the use of the products and integrating them into their own designs.

To match this new look it was decided to move away from the traditional route of producing the brochure on a smooth silk paper and move to an uncoated paper stock, giving the brochure a softer, more approachable look and feel to draw the reader in: again, ensuring that they view the Collection as a brochure rather than “just another catalogue”.
